South Africa vs Namibia, Friday’s match for the Africa Cup of Nations, Group B, at the Al Salam Stadium, in El-Nahda, Qism El-Salam, Cairo Governorate, Egypt.
The game to count for the second round of group D of the group stage of the Africa Cup of Nations. This Friday, June 28, 2019, will meet the teams from South Africa and Namibia. The game is expected to start at 9 pm at the Al Salam Stadium (Cairo).
Analysis of South Africa
South Africa suffered a defeat in the opening game against Côte d’Ivoire with Jonathan Kodjia scoring the only goal of the game. Although the team had most of the possession in both halves, the men of Desiree Ellis failed to use it to their advantage. They managed to make only one attempt of goal in each half, with none of these shoots to give work to the goalkeeper.
Analysis of Namibia
Namibia also debuted with a defeat against Morocco after Itamunua Keimune accidentally scored in his own goal as he tried to clear a dangerous cross in his area. The team was far from practicing the best football in that game and managed only three attempts on goal, and none hit the target.
Clashes between the two teams
The teams have already met six times. The last game ended 4-1 in favor of South Africa. South Africa managed not to concede twice against Namibia. Namibia are still set to record a win against South Africa.
Betting recommendation for the game
Namibia will have to play much better to score when they face South Africa at Al Salam Stadium on Friday. Both teams were weak when they launched attacks in their previous games and did not even come close to being able to register their names on the scorer’s sheets.
However, the South Africans fared better than the side of Ricardo Manetti in comparison, and have a slight advantage over the latter in their confrontation with each other.
Both teams will share equal possession of the ball in the ninety minutes and will have some scoring attempts, but I strongly believe that the game will have few goals, so my bet is less than 2.5 goals @ 1.57.
