Molde vs Aris Thessaloniki for the Europa League qualifying match on Thursday at Aker Stadium.
Another enjoyable knockout round this Thursday in the Europa League with a duel between Norwegians and Greeks where Molde will host Aris in the first of two legs. The game will be played in Molde and is scheduled to start at 18:00.
Molde comes to this stage after two easy knockouts where they first eliminated Reykjavik, what was soon decided after a 7-1 home win. Molde then eliminated Cukaricki from Serbia in an already more difficult knockout, but that still didn’t cause the Norwegians much trouble.
This Molde team is undoubtedly a reliable team at home where they get most of their results and with a lot of goals but these results are mainly achieved internally not giving me so much to relate as this Norwegian championship is not a championship of high quality even though it has some interesting teams like this Molde and Rosenborg.
Molde now faces Aris of Greece, a much more complicated team than the previous ones that I believe will cause Molde problems both at home and away.
Aris comes for this match after a knockout round, beating AEL 1-0 on aggregate to win 1-0 away after a 0-0 draw in Greece.
This Aris is a team with a reliable capacity but will undoubtedly have difficulties against Molde mainly because of the game being away and even more because of not having the rhythm of Molde that has been playing the championship for a long time.
I believe in a balanced game with two teams of the same level, which makes me disagree with these 1.80 Molde odds even at home. With these odds, I go to Aris +1, which seems to be of value also though I see Molde as a favourite to win the match.
