LA Galaxy vs Toronto FC for Friday’s Major League Soccer match at the Dignity Health Sports Complex.
The LA Galaxy has played eighteen league games this season and has thirty-one points, which is enough to be second in the Western Conference table, six points behind arch-rival LAFC. The visiting Toronto, who is seventh in the Eastern Conference and has also played eighteen times in the MLS, has only twenty-three points.
The LA Galaxy made the short trip to Stanford, California, last weekend, where they met SJ Earthquakes for ninety minutes. However, a goal in the first half and two in the second saw the hosts claim what looks like a comfortable win in the end.
Toronto was also away from home over the weekend when it travelled to Washington to face DC United. DeLeon gave Toronto a surprise lead in the nineteenth minute, and the visitors held that advantage until the compensation time. DC United was the best team that day and managed to grab a point, with a penalty goal scored by Rooney, in the 92nd minute of the match.
The recent meetings between these two clubs and the form and performance of both teams over the last month point to a bet on the LA Galaxy. Although Toronto has won their previous three games against LA Galaxy, both sides have scored the last two times the pair met, and more than 2.5 goals have been scored in five of their previous seven games between the two clubs. However, the LA Galaxy has a stronger team, which can be seen by the standings in the table.
Veteran striker Ibrahimovich leads the scorer’s table once again to LA Galaxy this season with eleven goals in MLS. I am confident that LA Galaxy can win the match, but it will not be an easy game.
My bet is a win for LA Galaxy.
