Jamaica vs Panama, Sunday’s match for Quarter-finals of the CONCACAF Gold Cup at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
In one of three games this Sunday, which refers to the quarter-final round of this edition of the 2019 Gold Cup, will face the national team of Jamaica and the national team of Panama.
JAMAICA
The national team enters this new game, counting towards the quarter-final round of the 2019 Gold Cup reaching the qualifying round after finishing in the 1st position of the leaderboard of their group C, finishing with 5 points added in the 3 rounds after a 3-2 win over Honduras, a 1-1 draw with El Salvador and a 1-1 draw with Curacao, having thus a more accessible selection now to beat than others, as would be the case of the United States if the team had finished 2nd in the standings of their group.
PANAMA
As for the national team of Panama, which has seen a very interesting evolution over the last years in competition and with the current coach Julio Dely Valdes to the technical command, arrives at this meeting looking to return to reach an advanced phase of this competition of CONCACAF, this after the team achieved good results the last time they participated in the Gold Cup (between 2011 and 2015 the worst result was a 3rd place). The team arrives at this game after finishing in the 2nd position of the classification of their group D, behind the USA.
PREDICTION
Taking into account what was the course of the two teams so far in this competition, where most of their games was marked by balance and having had few goals scored (only 1 match for each team had more than 2 goals scored), I predict a meeting of little offensive capacity and few goals in consequence, and probably only a team will score goals.
