Hobro vs AGF for the Danish Superligaen championship match on Monday at the DS Arena.
Both teams had different paths after finishing the 2018-19 season. Homeowners with weaker results worried their supporters even longer as they finished at the bottom of the table in the playoffs where they had to determine their maintenance in the league.
Hobro narrowly avoided relegation last season and will undoubtedly be focusing on doing better this season. In the pre-season, Hobro only played two friendly games, against Horsens and Fredericia, and both games finished tied.
It seems that Martin Mikkelsen and Alexander Baun will be out because of an injury.
The Aarhus AGF seems to be the favourite of these two clubs in this first game, due to their performance last season. This formation was in the zone of the playoffs and had an excellent opportunity to qualify for the international competitions.
At the beginning of the championship, the team will be interested in keeping up the pace and starting their campaign in luxury. Aarhus has the confidence to grow, improving on the excellent shape of last season. In fact, they were without losing twelve of their last thirteen games, in which they won nine.
With all these positive statistics, the AGF has also had good results against this opponent. They have five victories in the last six games, without conceding goals in the previous two. And, more importantly, the visitors always get points in the house of this opponent.
However, this is another game, and not everything is always the same.
Patrick Mortensen, who scored nine goals in the league for AGF last season should be at the starting eleven on Monday, while Sammy Skytte is the only concern for the coach due to injury.
This should be a balanced and competitive game, the AGF has slight favouritism, but we must not forget that they play as visitors.
