Bulgaria vs Kosovo, Monday’s match for the qualifying round, Group A, for the EURO 2020 Qualifiers, in the Vasil Levski National Stadium, Sofia.
Bulgaria continues to win at this stage of qualifying for the Euro 2020, the Bulgarians suffered a defeat in their last game against the Czech Republic on Friday night, and now have in this game a situation that should be considered of utmost importance for the future of Krasimir Balakov’s men.
Bulgaria failed to contain the Czech Republic, who even began winning with a goal from Isa. In this way the Bulgarian fasting for wins has increased to six games. The last victory of the team happened in October of last year, game that disputed in the Nations League, where it defeated Cyprus by 2-1.
Since then, in six games they have had four draws and were defeated in two opportunities. Bulgarian coach Krasimir Balakov should make some changes in the starting eleven, and so Ivan Goranov, Yanis Karabelyov and Kiril Despodov may enter early in the game.
The Kosovo squad showed again that it is a valuable side when it draw against Montenegro in their last game 1-1. Unlike Bulgaria that does not win, Kosovo does not lose, the team increased its very positive series of results to thirteen games without losing (eight wins and five draws).
This sequence started in November 2017 in a friendly against Latvia. In the game against Montenegro, the Kosovans started in front of the result but conceded the draw in the second half. However, Kosovo performed well on Friday night.
They were not very impressive, but it was enough to get a point, which was more than deserved. Kosovo is expected to have a similar formation to that of the last game, although Arber Zeneli had left the last game with an injury.
The balance of this group has been the dominant note of this group except England. In fact, Kosovo has shown a little more quality football, but the home factor makes my prognosis be in favor of the owners of the house.
