Belgium vs Scotland, Tuesday’s game for the qualifying round, Group I, for the EURO 2020 Qualifiers at the King Baudouin Stadium.
Belgium and Scotland meet today in Brussels at King Baudouin Stadium to play on Matchday 4 of the qualifying round in a game where Belgium are clearly favorites to take the three points against a Scottish team that has not been very convincing in recent years.
The Belgian national team is currently the leader of the group with 9 points in all three games played having scored 8 goals and conceded only 1 and now has one more accessible game to add to the fourth consecutive victory and remain one hundred percent victorious.
On the last day Belgium beat Kazakhstan 3-0 in a game where they could have won even more goals considering the total dominance of the home team, something that I hope again for this game maybe a little lower since this is a Scotland usually stronger defensively.
At home, Belgium has beaten several teams in the recent past convincingly, such as a 3-1 win over Russia and a 2-1 win over Switzerland, two points clear of the Scottish team.
Scotland come to this game in the third position of the group tied with Russia with 6 points but today has a much more complicated game than it had in the last day when they beat Cyprus 2-1 with a goal almost at the end of the game.
This Scottish team is a national team that don’t give me high hopes for what I see this team only to score against low level teams sometimes very difficult as this victory was referred to above.
Today on the Belgian soil unless the team closes well it seems to me that they can leave here with a heavy defeat.
As has been said previously there is no doubt that this Belgium is far superior to Scotland and playing at home has everything to win, possibly with a significant margin of goals.
