The preseason has ended, and the regular season is coming. In one week, the 2021/22 NFL season will start. The kickoff will be on Thursday Night Football, on September 9, when the Dallas Cowboys will face the Buccaneers in Tampa.
But how was the month of August from the 30 teams? Which one enjoyed better the last three games? Take a look at the resume below to be informed.
Seven franchises won all their preseason matches. One more time, the Kansas City Chiefs will start the season on a higher level. Despite the Patrick Mahomes team, Baltimore Ravens, Buffalo Bills, Cleveland Browns, Denver Broncos, Indianapolis Colts, and New England Patriots had only won in the previous games.
On the other hand, seven teams lose all their preseason matches. With good results last season, the Green Bay Packers and Los Angeles Rams disappointed this year. Despite them, Atlanta Falcons, Detroit Lions, Minnesota Vikings, New York Giants, and Dallas Cowboys had bad Lucky either.
In three games, the current Super Bowl champion, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, had only one win, against Houston Texans, in the last match (23-16). They lost for Tenessee Titans (34-3) and Cincinnati Bengals (19-14) in the previous one.
What about the rookies?
The three first Draft Picks and quarterbacks had different results. From New York Jets, Zach Wilson didn’t lose a single game, despite a drawn one. He had 191 passing yards, 75% completion pass percentage, with 20 attempts and 15 completions. He also made two touchdown passes.
Trey Lance and the San Francisco 49ers had closed results, with two wins and one loss. He completed the preseason with 276 passing yards and three touchdown passes, but on the other hand, he has just a 46,3% completion pass percentage, with 41 attempts and 19 completions.
While Trevor Lawrence from Jacksonville Jaguars won only one match, he had the 13th highest passing yards (323) and 70,5% completion pass percentage (44 attempts and 31 completions).
